In the latest update (version 1.0.44) for the BMW software the major feature is now can run Autohex in 8 different language.English,Chinese,Spanish,Korean,French and Portuguese are the main languages whereas German and Turkish can be used for diagnosis. New version also has some useful advanced options where users can remove restrictions for software by them self.
All these functions are available at the configuration menu.
Expert mode can be used for flashing non compatible ECU’s and make it compatible with car. In this mode it also allows for bypassing 13v restriction for different operations. When working on this mode users are highly recommended to read all the warnings carefully before proceeding.
Another advantageous feature is for testing only few major ecu’s in coding/programming. By this can save a lot of time needed for going inside the option. JBE, DME, EGS, CAS and KOMBI are the controls tested on E series and for F series ZGW,DME,EGS, CAS and KOMBI. This option will get automatically disabled every time so needs to reactivate whenever needed.
Flashing ECU’s which requires a moderately long time was regulated until the previous version from now on these restriction can be removed by user itself. For safety this option is also made for single use, need to activate on desired times.
Last but not the least function is activating Ethernet protocol DoIP (Diagnostic over Internet Protocol) for programming controls in fast and better way. This feature will be only available for hardware 4 users. For hw3 or below this will remain disabled.
The upcoming hardware for Autohex from Microtronik will go to a higher level of vehicle diagnosis and management of electronic components in BMW models. The more stable and durable new hardware can do a wide variety of operations up to the latest models.

ETHERNET PROTOCOL (DoIP)
With the growth of electronic units in the automobiles BMW is one of the leading company which uses DoIP (Diagnostic Over Internet Protocol) for communication with its modules in a wide range of ECU’s. Before users were forced to use some BDM tools in the market for reading Dump from CAS for various operation. Now no need to go for any additional tool all this can be done just with Autohex. This will also ease the time and money required for making keys in CAS4/CAS4+.
