Hi guys

I'm having a problem with a 2010 mini R56 and i wonder if anyone else has had the same problem.
When you put the fob key into the ignition slot, and press the start button, ignition position 2 will not come on, only position 1. If you then go to reset starter lock or to read CAS ISN with Autohex, then take the key out and put it back in again, the car will start fine. It might be ok for a couple of hours or days without doing this with Autohex, but it will lock out ignition position 2 again at some point.
Obviously, by reading the CAS ISN or resetting the starter lock, teh CAs is being interupted or woken up, which allows ignition position 2 to be engaged.

I have changed the CAS with a replacement, which is the first place you would look, but the same thing happens with the replacement CAS, which is very strange.

Anyone had this situation before?

Thanks
