Helllo,

Ive run into an issue several times now when i use a donor cas with a basic cas3 eeprom and flash to read isn in all keys lost on e90 via obd. It seems after this the dsc coding is lost and performing programming and coding does not fix it. Any ideas on why this happens or how to fix it? Aside from using ista/p. Im sorry i didnt take note of the dtc something about valve alignment or something to that affect. The main symptom is abs light.

That is because the vin of the CAs you are using is different to the vin stored in dsc. The error coming up from dsc is VIN mismatch.

If you got ABS lights try to unplug and connect battery negative cable, mostly it will solve it.

Thank you for your responses. I have tried doing "hard reset" before with no effect. The vin mismatch seems plausible, any idea how to avoid this? What if i edit the vin to be blank all FF? Also would adapting the origional cas back using the cas replacement function fix this? To be clear im using a donor cas to power on car and get isn for all keys lost. After i get isn i put origional cas back.

just disconnect dsc while pulling DME ISN with other CAS

Is module connection plug located at abs pump?

Correct.

As far as fixing the issue, just encode the dsc then run the DSC Sensor ABL in Ista/d

You must calibrate steering angle sensor from ista d service function, as Gby wrote. It may be possible to do it from autohex diagnosis too
