Hi,
Working on a E90 buildyear 2006. In the coding of the DME ([42MBO] coding index 13])it says:

Catalytic convertor configuration
     KATENTFALLCODIERING
              Value 00
               Value 01

I tried to change this van value 00 to value 01. Unfortunately after successfully coding "Value 01" it is in fact still coded as "Value 00". I tried changing FA to
-> add [$168 EU2 exhaust emission standard ]
-> add [$199 without catalytic convertor]
-> add [$823 Hot-climate version]
-> delete [$1CA CO2 Selection]
But unfortunately this coding value stays on "Value 00".

Anybody succeeded in coding the catalytic convertor to value 01 of has any idea to change the configuration of the car to let it know that there is no catalytic convertor?

Best regards,

Asim

On e90 from 2006 don't matter working hours. You must calculate software from VO. Give part nr of ecu and zb nr

Hi Autohex_BMW,

Thank you for your reply,

part number of ECU: 7 561 834 - 01 // 0 261 201 159

What do you mean by zb number? There is a sticker with 3 numbers: 7528590 (small) // 7561834 (small) // 7563348 (large)

@Autohex_BMW; do you think that the coding is possible with the right chosen VO? If so do you have any suggestions?

I made today E63 645i without catalitic converter and lambda probe. Add 199 in FA, coding ecu and cas, restart AH calculate again i level, and do ecu update Screenshot_20181210-203245.jpg You have insufficient rights to see the content.

HI Autohex_BMW,

For some reason I don't succeed. After following the steps you described, the "default" checkbox in "advanced coding" changed from value 00 to value 01. After trying several ways each time I coded value 01 it jumped back to value 00 after the coding process was complete. Don't know the reason for that.

Unfortunately the customer gets impatient and wants his car back. This means I have to stop and can't proceed tinkering with the coding and programming.

Thank you very much for your efforts!
