Hi,
Got situation after key programing on this BMW.
After successful (?) key programing car starts ok, BUT.
Now i have:
Always front light no matter how light switch is turned.
No dash illumination. All dashboard is fine just illumination doesnt work.
No power window.
No comfort key function.
REMOTE WORKS ONLY FOR UNLOCKING, not locking (you can here sound when you click central console button of central lock but thats it, just sound, no lock action)
Any ideas?

Did you process/downgrade cas for coding? If so you need to restore/update cas back after key programming

It is not CAS problem, Your's FRM is bricked, need to restore it with hextag.

Did you process/downgrade cas for coding? If so you need to restore/update cas back after key programming

FRM gets bricked even when diagnosing with ista, but mostly after drained or changed battery. Hextag has function to repair eeprom.

Be honest is weird to cook frm when coding key. I did tons of e series keys and never had isssue with frm after key programming. Is common when battery gets very low or you jump start the car but never heard about one failing when programming key. We learn whole of our life's is it 😉

Good day. Very common fault on FRM. Mostly Bad battery. Or low battery . Repair FRM's on a daly basis. Not because of programming key. Check the car battery was very low, or very old,
Hextak works like a dream fixing these bricked FRM's
The worst of the e-90's that do that is the 2010 and 2011 , last e-90's

Guys, you were absolutely right!
For no obvious reason FRM was killed.
Thank you for the hint to use HexProg. Ordered it once it came out but it was the very first time i used it!
Eeprom was restored and car is alive again.
Mikrotronik makes not only a tool, but a very good product. All you, as a busy technician need, using it with an ease and its a timesaver :)
