Are the keys for early F series with CAS4 and CAS4+ are different than models with FEM

and if they are different how to recognise and clasificate them?

Thanks

Early CAS4 keys with the larger Continental board are not compatible with the later CAS4+/FEM keys that use the smaller HUF board. The newer HUF or Hella keys work with CAS4+/FEM, and are backwards compatible with early CAS4 cars.
You can identify them by the markings and numbers under the battery door.
You also need to verify that the remote frequency matches the car. For American market, frequency depends on build date and immobilizer. All FEM cars are 434mhz. All of the CAS cars prior to 2014 are 315mhz, everything after is 434mhz.

I will correct You little bit, FEM up to 2014, usualy 315mhz, from 2014 can be 315 or 434, after 2016 all fem are 434mhz. All american market cas4 are 315mhz, never see 434mhz. All european cas4 are 868mhz. All european FEM up to 2016 are 868mhz, from that date 434mhz. All BDC are 434mhz, and uses hella keys, not huf or continental. For cas4 with metal quartz use continental or huf keys, with ceramic quartz use only huf keys.

thanks for your useful reply

So if I want to cover all F series in UK I must have in stock these keys (without display keys)

CAS4 and FEM up to 2016 - 868 HUF5661
FEM after 2016 - 434 HUF5767 and HUF5663
BDC - 434 Hella - There are 2 different shapes - Are they swapable?

Is I'm missing something
also
I'm not sure what models you meant under Hella BDC - is it F15 F16 F25 and F26 or something else

BDC has F15/F16, some MINI's and F45(X1). Also i series has BDC, but autohex can't handle them.
FEM 434mhz uses only huf5767, no other works, exept hella 434 keys, they work with FEM too.

Thanks again

Around what years we can expect CAS4 and FEM?
CAS4 2009 - 2013
CAS4+ 2013 - 2014
FEM after 2013
or this depend on models?

There doesn't labels like on CAS3 E6x and E9x - C3 and C4

also

Are the FEM modules are swapable between all models and just the softwares are different

Thanks

Is it possible to use keyless remote with PCF7952 or PCF7953 instead remote with PCF7945 on cars with CAS3/+ without keyless

Yes, keyless remote has both remote and keyless function. The keyless function is achieved by some extra antennas within the key that communicate with the cars antennae. The remote part is similar to the keyless system.

Is it something different between CAS4 and CAS4+ when you see the labels?
are they swappable?

on label it will be mentioned cas4 even if it is cas4+.
you need to check inside software ews5 active or not,if active 4+ if not 4.
mostly 2012+ is cas4+

yes you can change frequency of used fem from cas replacement --.advanced once its unlocked.
Replacing FEM/BDC with used when no communication with original

1.Unlock and reset mileage for used FEM/BDC in Autohex
• if got working key unlock using it
OR
•Use option 3

2.Read ISN from original DME
3.write DME ISN to FEM from ISN manager option 4
4.change VIN for FEM/BDC(Cas replacement-->Advanced)
5.Program key if needed
6.connect FEM/BDC to car
7.Restore FA from FA manager
8.Go out to main menu and come inside coding/programming
9.Program GW and BODY from indiv programming (note it will do only coding because fem already updated)
10.Finish

Did you checked original fem on bench with autohex?
