Hi Autohex friends,

I would like to have the advice regard to ISN on EWS4.4 for X3 E83.
EWS 4.4 dead and could not read eeprom and flash so it need to be replaced.
As I know EWS 4.4 has short isn synch to DME but this car has the DME MSV80 which has long ISN. I have successful read the ISN from this DME which is long ISN.
The question is how can I edit the eeprom for the donor EWS?
Thank you in advance.

Unfortunately I don't know how to solve your question. Your best option may be to buy a new EWS from BMW. They have become rather inexpensive, only $140 in my area.

What did you use to attempt reading EWS EEPROM?

X3 is msv80.1, not msv80. Correct? Can you really use MSV80 instead of MSV80.1? hardware looks different, slightly

Hi,
Yes, it is msv8.1 and I do not have any idea that it can be replaced by MSV80.
