I dont think you need jbe for this
I think only cas and dde connected with bench cable from autohex HW4 CAS3&MSD85.png You have insufficient rights to see the content.
In this situation autohex is your jbe

CipiCip is right...AH4 acts as a gateway for connection between CAS and DME.

for cars having short isn need to sync cas -dme on car . for doing that onbench you may need to connect cas dme as like in car on onbench with jbbe. for dme which have long isn no need to do sync other than match isn but for short isn dme should do cas-dme sync . autohex will do automatically from isn manager option if its on car. onbench may require the same kind of wiring as like on car so may require wiring with jbbe to sync cas-dme.

needs only d_ews line as extra.
Personally using jbe in benc set up but not essential
