Hello!

I'm not able to get a ISN from a DDE EDC16C35 (BMW) via OBD. Got always DDE ISN error. Car will not start (EWS error) with the original DDE and of course also with a new one - rolling code EWS error.

Any ideas to get the ISN via OBD? Will not open the DDE on bench.

some old model dde is not supported for ISN via autohex, if you send us eeprom from ECU we can give you ISN. either you can read EEPROM physically or can read in Hextag using the cloning license (you can try in factory mode without opening to read data in Hextag)

But after reading eeprom and sending to you...in next update will be supported? Or autohex have a problem with some dde and those types of dde will not be supported ever???

we will try to add the ISN via OBD in future updates.

I can read out the eeporm and send it to you (Mikrotronic). Is there a special mail adress or anything else for that?

I will not open the DDE cause it's not my car and the customer decided that I should not do it. It's his choice.

Send eeprom to Microtronik
That way maybe they will add this type of dde in future
A lot of users from here can extract isn from.dump...but we want that autohex to be capable to read it on next updates...by obd and bench
So...please send eeprom also to Microtronik

Anyway, the only way to get the eeprom is to do it in boot mode (EDC16C35 with MPC563. So I will do it (got the permission from the customer).

Will upload the eeprom here and send it also via mail to Mikrotronic.

EDIT: yeah, it's a MPC564 and Hextag is only providing MPC563. Always connection error with the MPC5xx module and BDM frame (Ref. 972).

MPC564 must work in MPC563 option , you please contact support so they will check your connections.

You can read eeprom with a clip and the ISN is located at 0x42, 0x82 and 0xC2

Days later I got my BDM Adapter and I can read out the EDC16C35. The Ex-Eeprom is attached (and also send to Microtronik).
