can read and VIN can be edited manually but mileage not supported.

Hi,
I have a 2014 F36 cluster with 100k miles on it with the 'KL15WUP SHORT CIRCUIT TO B+ ERROR'. Just bought a used cluster with 3K miles on it, if i swap it over will i have the tamper dot and how do i correct it?
used cluster date is 01.03.2017.

It should be fine if you swap eeprom..if it had 2 eeprom then swap both. most you might have to do is program cluster after if any issue

What happens if I just install on car as I’ve seen several comments saying it’s not a problem if the donor cluster has lower miles than original?
