Hi.

As a rookie that i am i accidently read out stock MSD80 E93 335i from OBD and flashed by bench mode.
Now MSD80 is stuck at ÿÿÿ**** HW part number. I have read out Pflash, Dflash and eeprom, but only after this happened unfortunately.

Now i am trying to search for the help to retrieve data again. Someone can help?

MSDxx DMEs, you have to back up data as a single file bench or boot mode (HexProg). There was discussion about it some time ago. If any issue arises, restore possible. Do not read / write P/D Flash and EEPROM separately. If you can still read DME that is no problem, you are lucky. You need a single back up file. What VIN / PN you need. You can contact me on PM.

Thanks for your reply.
Communication is still possible with MSD80. I read/write with no issues. I have attached all info of part number of MSD80 and full vin included. This is the info that you need for backup file.

Please see your PM.
Thanks

Write this file in BENCH mode as backup. Your DME will be OK. You will have to re code it. That is all.

In MSD80 should not write or restore data from another ECU, it will cause communication issue. For ECU with CLONE button you need to use the CLONE button to transfer data.

Yes, you are correct. Do not use this file. I just tried on a spare ECU. Backup / restore in Autohex will not work.

Sorry for the confusion.
